Follow-up notifications to borrowers are based on the outstanding follow-up requests on the loan. It's important to make sure those are being updated throughout the life of the loan. For example, if the borrower chooses to email documentation instead of using the portal to upload the requested documents, that follow-up request should be marked as complete, or deleted. Otherwise, the borrower will continue to receive notifications to complete an outstanding task they already completed
Blend notifies the borrower every 48 hours for 7 days if they have outstanding follow-up requests. This means the borrower will only receive 3 notifications on outstanding requests.
To remove the requested follow-ups, go to the 'Follow-Ups' tab within Blend > click the '...' option next to the follow-up request > click either 'Mark as complete' if they manually sent you the docs, or 'Delete' if you just want to remove the request. Once the borrower has no more outstanding tasks, they will not be notified.
If you want to turn off all notifications on the loan in Blend, you can do so by clicking into the Follow-ups tab > clicking the '...' menu next to the 'Add' button > click 'Turn off notifications to all borrowers'. *NOTE: this will turn off notifications, including disclosure requests
